Retail Support- Pricing Team Lead

Job Overview:
The Pricing Team Lead is responsible for supervising a team of associates in accomplishing the price change activities for promotional and clearance events in the entire store. The associate is also responsible for fulfillment and performing other duties as necessary.

Additionally, during key events and peak selling times, Macy’s may offer additional shifts to our associates, which they may pick up using the self-scheduling tool. Essential Functions:
•Be proficient in POS and MPOS systems including Search and Send, My Client and More@ Macy’s tablet app
•Proactive in assisting customers who are using devices to shop and compare, whether Macy’s devices or their own
•Assist customers in all aspects of total store fulfillment and have the ability to satisfy the needs of our digital and physical customers by making appropriate partnerships when necessary.
•Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority
•Coordinate and oversee the timely execution of price changes for the entire store
•Recruit, train, motivate, and develop Pricing Associates to their fullest potential through coaching and feedback to increase productivity and efficiency
•Ensure that all policies, procedures, and standards are understood and followed by Pricing Associates
•Ensure optimum coverage to support anticipated promotional events by effectively managing associate schedules
•Conduct random price audits to ensure selling price is correctly reflected on the merchandise
•Provide feedback or call the Price Change Hotline on pricing issues such as pricing errors and ticketing errors
•Assist Merchandise Team Lead in operational tasks such as markdowns, return to vendors (RTVs) and transfers and merchandising tasks such as floor moves and back stocking
•Assist with the basic fill of merchandise
•Participate in physical inventory process
•Maintain high customer readiness standards by delivering a clean, neat, easy to shop store environment
•Maintain department recovery standards; including fitting room go backs to standard, if applicable
•Attend to customer service needs in a friendly and helpful manner when approached
•Be sensitive to the store’s needs and flex into other non-selling areas as needed
•Assist with special projects as assigned
•Perform other duties as necessary
•Follows shortage programs and procedures
•Perform these functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the Supervisor
•Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• No specific educational accomplishments are necessary.
• Previous experience in a support role is preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Able to use a calculator.

Reasoning Ability:
• Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team and must have good time management skills.

Physical Demands:
• This position involves constant moving and standing. Involves standing for at least two consecutive hours. Involves lifting at least 30 lbs. May occasionally involve reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level.
• Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Other Skills:
• Strong organizational skills. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Able to empower and develop a team. Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team. Must possess a strong sense of urgency.

Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the following items, including but not limited to: HVAC systems including chillers, rooftop AC units, and split systems; electrical systems; plumbing systems and fixtures; receiving dock as well as some alterations, restaurant, and salon equipment; and building roof and exterior. The Maintenance Technician may also be required to perform these duties in more than one facility. Work generally occurs in a retail store environment with moderate temperature and noise level.

Essential Functions:
•Install, maintain, operate and repair mechanical and electrical equipment and other building systems
•Perform repair and maintenance as required on electrical circuits and power distribution systems; HVAC systems; repairs to plumbing systems; and other building equipment.
•Utilize Work Order System for assignment of repair work orders as well as preventative maintenance actions.
•Ensure proper operation of facility HVAC systems: inspect and repair pumps, motors, valves, heating/air conditioning equipment and cooling towers.
•Ensure systems remain in compliance with local codes.
•Test, maintain, calibrate, and evaluate equipment by using instrumentation
•Perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with established work standards and safety guidelines.
•Assist with all aspects of maintenance and repair within assigned facilities including ‘on call’ availability.
•Operate machinery such as pumps, motors, compressors, balers, compactors, and power tools.
•Perform other duties as specified by the Work Order System, or as directed by supervisor.
•Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
•Minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of a large commercial facility.
•Strong electrical knowledge and background is required.
•Current Universal CFC Certification is preferred.

Communication Skills:
•Ability to interpret building schematics, prints, and manuals. Candidate must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with peers, managers, and contractors.

Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math skills generally obtained at the high school level.

Reasoning Ability:
•Candidate must possess ability to prioritize work and to negotiate maintenance and repair workload with store management’s requests while working within limitations of Facilities budget and structure

Physical Demands:
•This position involves occasional heavy lifting, lifting of at least 30 lbs. Will occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.

Other Skills:
•Must be familiar with PC, windows applications, and preferably a computerized work order system. Some travel between stores will be required.

Work Hours:
•Ability to work a schedule based on department and store needs. Must be able to respond to after hours and weekend calls (24/7).

Retail Commission Jewelry Sales

Job Overview:
The Jewelry Sales associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service in the Jewelry & Watch Complex. This includes meeting hourly sales and Star Rewards goals on a personal and departmental basis, demonstrating superior product knowledge to customers, building a clientele using the My Client system, offering the customer our Worry No More service plan and creating a shopping experience that will make the customer feel welcome and comfortable. The Jewelry Sales associate will participate in ongoing training via the iPad as well as attend vendor and trainer facilitated trainings. Additionally, all Jewelry Sales associates participate in all aspects of ensuring the department is operating efficiently including but not limited to processing goods, merchandising, taking price changes, setting and signing sales, doing RTVs, BOPS & Fulfillment.

• Perform all aspects of fulfillment process; including, but not limited to: picking, packing, labeling, shipping and BOPS.
• Offer to call other locations if merchandise is unavailable within store or offer Search & Send.
• Be knowledgeable of and perform sales support functions related to Jewelry (POS procedures, iPad, Operations, Asset Protection).
• Ensure proper processing, presentation, organization, storing, and replenishment of stock. Maintain Recovery & Fill in Standards.
• Establish high level of shortage awareness and effectiveness; ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to watch sizing and ear piercing.
• Adhere to asset protection programs and procedures to ensure audit compliance.
• Perform functions in an efficient manner, as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous selling experience is required, preferably in fine jewelry.
